Lucu Lucu Gaming, abbreviated as LLG, was a gaming compilation channel on social media. Due to increasing demands and competition, they decided to rebrand themselves as a gaming, technology, and movie review media.
They had to remove themselves from the DIY vibe and produce original content. It's an identity overhaul. The logo you see below? It doesn't work anymore. It has too many details and wouldn't work in small sizes or single-coloured setups. We had to remove the many tints and shades to make it simple, easy to use and versatile.
So a new identity was designed. The new direction was to make it simple but distinctive enough so people could easily recall the brand. It has to feel techy and bold.
The concept for the visual is to use a clean geometric and pointy typeface to provide a clean outlook of the brand. We maintained the owl as an icon to present gamers who keep gaming day and night. We used it as a distinctive part of the visual identity and incorporated the shape into the G letter.
The new identity was well received and the team's hard work grew the channel to 363K subscribers on YouTube and 80K followers on Instagram.
