Broery is a dear friend of ours. He's a singer and creates music content by doing song covers on his social media channels, especially Instagram.
Chris Tall is his stage name and his voice is a blend between Scott Stapp of Creed and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden.
He needed a logo to represent him as a professional singer for hire. The logo has to show his interest in rock music but should still have some room to pivot to other genres.
The idea for the logo was a microphone and a singing instrument. We then tried to use the initials of the stage name as the main components of the logo (C+T).
The new mark has to blend perfectly with a serif type to represent the feeling of rock music, yet feels modern enough to stand out as a profile picture on social media.
The mark was then paired with the stage name using the font DM Serif Display. The font was chosen due to its classical feel yet interesting enough to be used in a modern setup, something we were looking for.
We then applied an intense orange colour to finish it up. Why orange? It's the colour of energy, warmth and confidence, the attributes of Broery's voice.
